Dr. Yassee Pirooz, DMD
Dr. Yassee Pirooz had an international upbringing spanning England and Singapore, then landed at the University of Virginia for college, where she also served as her class president. While at UVa, she earned membership to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude.
Following college, she worked as a charter high school science teacher for several years in Denver, Colorado. This experience cemented her desire to foster similar meaningful teaching and learning experiences with patients as a pediatric dentist.
Dr. Pirooz received her doctoral training at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude. While at Harvard, she was awarded the Silver Medal for Scholastic Excellence, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award for promise in the field of pediatric dentistry, as well as several other academic and performance scholarships.
She completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry as a postdoctoral resident at Columbia University – New York Presbyterian Hospital, the area’s top ranked children’s hospital, where she gained experience providing the highest level of dental care for children of all levels of medical and dental complexity. She is a Board Certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Pirooz is passionate about practicing patient-centered care with a focus on prevention and strives to make every visit a fun and positive experience.
In her free time, Dr. Pirooz enjoys visiting her family in Lake Tahoe, being outdoors, painting, and learning new languages.
