Why Families Choose Us

Why Lenox Hill Families Choose Us

Lenox Hill sits between the East 60s and the East 70s, east of Park Avenue — one of Manhattan’s most deliberately residential neighborhoods.

Families here live near Lenox Hill Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, and Hospital for Special Surgery. They know what specialist care in a medical office building looks like. They know the difference between a practice that markets well and one that actually delivers.

Our practice is not a chain. It is a single-location specialty practice where the founder, Dr. Emanuela Corielli, still sees patients every week. Where the team includes a former president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. And where a certified therapy dog named Eloise has a genuinely remarkable effect on children who walk in nervous.

For Lenox Hill families looking for board-certified kids dental care that actually reflects the standard of the neighborhood, this is what that looks like.

First Visit

When to Start — and What the First Visit Looks Like

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first dental visit by the child’s first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth.

Our first visits are brief and entirely gentle. No drills, no tools children have not seen before. We explain everything, show the instruments, and move at the child’s pace. The goal is simple: a positive first experience that sets the tone for every visit after it.

One Practice, Both Specialties

Orthodontics Under the Same Roof

The most common thing parents tell us when they find us: they wish they had found us earlier. They had a pediatric dentist they loved, their child needed braces, and they had to start over with a second practice.

With us, that does not happen. Our orthodontists share the office with our pediatric dentists. Your child’s jaw development has been tracked from the first cleaning. When the time comes for Invisalign First, Phase 1 treatment, or traditional braces, we are already fully informed.

For Lenox Hill families managing school schedules, after-school activities at places like Asphalt Green, and all the logistics of city life with children, not having to vet and onboard a second specialist is a genuine relief.

About the Neighborhood

About Lenox Hill

Lenox Hill takes its name from Robert Lenox, a Scottish merchant who owned farmland here in the early 1800s. Today the neighborhood spans roughly the East 60s to East 70s east of Park Avenue.

It is mostly elevator apartment buildings, quiet residential streets, and some of the city’s most recognized medical institutions within walking distance. The Alice in Wonderland statue in Central Park is four blocks west. John Jay Park and Pool is a block east.

ZIP 10021, which covers Lenox Hill and the surrounding Upper East Side, has a multigenerational population — parents, grandparents, nannies — and ‘very high’ public school achievement according to the City’s own neighborhood profile. These are families who take education and health seriously.

We are proud to be their neighborhood pediatric dental and orthodontic practice.
