Invisalign First
Invisalign isn’t only for teens and adults! It is also a wonderful option for our younger patients undergoing Phase I orthodontic treatment, when baby teeth are still present. Invisalign First can be used to broaden the arches, align the teeth, correct the bite, and create space to guide the eruption of developing permanent teeth. Our younger patients love Invisalign because it allows them to eat without the food restrictions that come with braces and clean their teeth more easily.
If you choose to move forward with Invisalign First treatment for your child, the next step is to take Invisalign Records – which involves pictures, radiographs, and a 3D iTero scan, which we will use to create their customized treatment plan with the Invisalign software. At the next appointment, they will receive their first set of Invisalign aligners! At this appointment, we will place attachments as needed on the teeth, which are tooth-colored bumps designed to maximize the retention and efficiency of the aligners. You will see us approximately every 8 weeks to evaluate your child’s progress throughout treatment, and we will move forward with the series of aligners until we have reached our goals of Phase I treatment.
