The most common retainer we provide is a clear plastic essix retainer, which is discreet and comfortable. For added security, we also offer fixed retainers, which are permanently attached to the back of the front teeth. We also offer traditional Hawley retainers when indicated.
After the completion of your orthodontic treatment, we will work closely with you to determine the retention solution that best suits your needs, ensuring lasting results for your smile.
Keeping Your Retainers Clean
Maintaining clean retainers is essential not only for your dental health but also for the longevity of your retainers. Bacteria and plaque can build up on retainers, leading to unpleasant odors, staining, or even gum irritation. To keep your retainers in optimal condition, we recommend cleaning them daily using a gentle toothbrush, soap and room temperature water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or hot water, as they can damage the material. For clear retainers, consider soaking them in a mild retainer cleaning solution periodically to keep them fresh.
