Sanjay Tewari
A native New Yorker originally from Brooklyn, Dr. Sanjay Tewari is a highly specialized physician with dually focused expertise in pediatric and cardiac anesthesiology. He began his formal medical training at the New York University School of Medicine, where he completed his residency in Anesthesia. Seeking to master the most complex cases, he followed his residency with a prestigious fellowship in Anesthesia for Cardiac Surgery. During this time, he spent significant clinical rotations at Boston Children’s Hospital, focusing specifically on the delicate anesthetic requirements for children undergoing heart and lung surgeries.
Following the completion of his fellowship at NYU in 2005, Dr. Tewari spent 12 years serving various hospitals throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. During this tenure, he provided critical care for both adult and pediatric patients undergoing complex cardiothoracic procedures. His extensive hospital experience laid the foundation for a career defined by clinical precision and the management of high-acuity cases.
Since 2017, Dr. Tewari has transitioned his focus to providing specialized anesthesia in ambulatory office settings. He is particularly dedicated to serving pediatric patients who face unique challenges, including those with severe dental phobia, developmental delays, and other special needs. By bringing hospital-grade expertise into the office environment, he ensures that these patients receive safe, compassionate, and specialized care in a more accessible setting.
